My name is Angela Thomas and I am on an adventure.

I have dreamed of traveling the world for most of my life and have never had the time or money to do so. This year the opportunity opened up and I quickly jumped on it. I have been married for 25 years and have 3 children, ages 21, 19, and 17. My life has been busy and crazy and full. I have been working with kids in public schools since 2004 and have been a full-time teacher for the past 3 years teaching high school English.

Last summer I got to take a trip around the United States and see some of the big spots, such as Times Square in New York, Niagra Falls, Washington D.C., and many more beautiful places. However, I still had the desire to go to Europe.

Around Christmas time, my friend who moved to Beijing, China, called and asked me if I would like to go to Paris with her. I immediately said yes and began to make plans for my first trip abroad. On the way back I overheard a conversation that some people on the plane were having about how her daughter was doing her „gap” year. I knew that my oldest son wanted to travel and this sounded like a perfect way for him to be able to travel and not need as much money. I began to help him find locations and as I was going through them I saw places that would be fun for me. After talking it over with my husband, who has to be the best, decided to look for places that I would be able to help someone learn my language.

I decided to come to Poland and have been very happy with my choice. I have so much respect for people who are learning another language and wish that when I was younger that I would have taken advantage of the opportunities that I had.
