Thousands of Miles Away from Home

Being away thousands of miles from home and alone is not always easy for me. But I decided to take the plunge. It’s not my first solo trip to Europe but it would be the longest that I’ve been away from home. Home for me is Singapore. 

Having grown up in a small country, I’ve always loved travelling and exploring other parts of the world. My first time in Europe was in 2017 when I flew to the UK and Ireland with my family. That was when I really liked Europe and have been travelling to other countries whenever I have the chance. Hence, when I came across the opportunity to volunteer in Poland, I knew I had to take it! I decided to take a break from my job and travel Europe and US for 2 months before returning back home. 

My time in Poland has been wonderful and I had the chance to meet many people from all walks of life and from different countries. It is a beautiful country with a rich history and beautiful landscapes. 

This is my first stop in my solo trip and I am excited for the rest of my journey! If you have the opportunity to travel, take it and don’t think twice. You will gain a lot of invaluable experiences.
