Traveller Stories

Connection Throughout Europe

Before starting my language teaching journey here, I spent two months travelling all around Europe, both with friends and as a solo traveller. Starting off in Paris, I continued to Amsterdam, completed an artist residency in the countryside of Greece, and then went on to explore Athens, Berlin, Warsaw, Bialystok, Budapest, and Italy, before finally finding my way back to Poland. Travelling has always been an important part of my life, and this past summer has made me appreciate it even more!

Through experiencing such a wide variety of cities and ways of living, I was able to connect with so many other travellers, as well as locals. From staying at hostels to remote guesthouses, as well as with family and friends, I was able to meet so many different people from all around the world, and make some extremely meaningful connections. As an artist, visiting art museums and galleries in every city, as well as getting the chance to even just see the local street art, has been an inspiration.

Volunteering has always been something I’ve valued, starting with my experience teaching children at the local library reading, coding, and other activities. Art is something I am particularly passionate about, and I’ve taught both craft days and children’s art summer camps. The opportunity to teach English was something I had considered before, so when I got this chance to come back to Poland, I knew I had to take it!
