TRAVELING THE WORLD

I have traveled widely throughout my life. I spent 4 years working and studying in the United States (I’ve been to 25 American states). My favorites states are California and Hawaii. I also have visited Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean Sea.

One of my favorite cultural adventures so far has been watching the 2014 FIFA World Cup (Australia vs. Chile) in a bar in Brazil surrounded by multicultural friends. Some other favorite travel moments include hiking Mount Rainier in the Pacific Northwest, USA while flowers were blooming, and driving between New York City and Boston in October when all the trees had turned orange & yellow. Also diving in Maui, Hawaii with all the colorful coral reefs & turtles, and swimming in the Cayman Island while the sun rose over the Caribbean Sea!

Traveling is my passion. I have been to 15 countries so far. In 2023, I have been exploring Europe and its amazing food. I lived 4 months in Italy, my second home country. I explored Puglia – Alberobello, Ostuni, Polignano a Mare, Lecce. I visited the medieval Verona also known as the setting of Shakespeare’s “Romeo & Juliet”. A beautifully written book. I loved the romantic neighborhoods of Venice, with all the canals, bridges and gondolas. I felt very much at home traveling around Veneto region since my italian roots are from there.

I also volunteered in London, I was living closer to Kings Cross train station, where the Hogwarts Express begins its long journey (Who else was a Harry Potter fan?). London is one of the most multicultural cities in the world, with over a third of its population born in a foreign country. You can find restaurants serving national dishes from almost every country on the planet, which means you never have to go to the same place twice. Some signature sights are Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Madame Tussauds, and Westminster Abbey, for example. There are also a number of modern attractions in London, such as the London Eye, The Tate Modern, and the multi-purpose London Stadium. I really enjoyed visiting The National Gallery, house to the nation’s collection of Western European painting from the 13th to the early 20th centuries and Royal Borough of Greenwich, UNESCO World Heritage Site status as home of the Prime Meridian. Currently, I am making amazing memories in Poland. So let’s keep exploring :).

For me, traveling is a spiritual experience, where I can connect to myself and appreciate life intensively. “Travel makes one modest. You see what a tiny place you occupy in the world.” Gustave Flaubert
