Aussie in Poland

Melbourne, Australia

My name is Chloe and I am a 21 year old from Melbourne, Australia. I grew up inner city the suburb of Richmond, where you will find Melbourne’s Olympic Park, which holds the famous Australian Open. I have loved growing up here, and even though I would consider myself a city girl, one of my biggest passions in life is the beach. With amazing beaches only 40 minutes from the city centre, how could you not spend every second of summer in the water. My family owns a beach house 1.5 hours away from Melbourne, along the famous Great Ocean Road. This is where I spend majority of them summer when I’m not working as swim instructor.

So how did I end up in Poland?
Well I have been travelling/working around the world since March of 2021. Starting in the USA where I spent 2 months living in Austin, Texas and then worked at my favourite American summer camp NPP for 3 months. I have worked as the Swimming Director for the past 4 years and have LOVED every moment of it. From there I travelled around the USA for a few weeks until my visa expired and headed over to the UK to start my European adventure. It was in the UK where I found this job and decided to reach out. Once this job was confirmed, I had 4 weeks to make my way from the UK to Poland. I started off in Greece, where I travelled around the Greeks Islands; Mykonos, Santorini and Ios. Honestly, one of the most beautiful sights in the world. From there I travelled to Lyon, France and then to Switzerland, where I hiked the Swiss Alps for 5 days. The Swiss Alps is by far the most incredible experience of my entire life, you will never find views like it! Once I finished up in Switzerland, I headed to Venice for the weekend and lastly made my way to Warsaw, Poland.

I have spent 3 weeks here and even though I have loved the city, I think its time for me to head off onto my next adventure!
