Born in Bangladesh, Living in Canada…

Hello there, I am Waqar and I was born in Chittagong, Bangladesh. I just turned 19 and am still very much trying to figure out life. For me so far, life has been somewhat complicated. Being born in Bangladesh and growing up with the Bangladeshi culture as a part of me is something I will forever be proud of. I am going to use this opportunity to share a little bit of my life and culture that I have been indulged with for these 19 years…

My first time out of Bangladesh was all across on the other side of the world Canada. Since moving to Canada, I have been back to Bangladesh twice, and the second was earlier this year in January. During my second trip to Bangladesh, we had a layover in Hong Kong and we used that to our advantage by exploring the city, making China the third country I have laid my foot in.

After that, my next step in traveling is currently ongoing here in Poland, the fourth country. I am not going to bore you with pictures from Poland because you already have a general idea of what that is about so how about a glimpse of Bangladeshi wedding culture: As you can see in the collage of pictures, there are many different events, informal, formal, casual, all sorts of traditional and non-traditional clothing in play… 

From the hot and humid weddings of Bangladesh, let me take you to the cold climate of my northern city, Toronto aka the 6ix (the six is a common nickname attributed to the city of Toronto).

Canada is a very big country, 2nd largest in the world, so showing you pictures just from Toronto does not do it justice. There is much to explore, I myself have not even scraped the surface but here is a couple of pictures that are more out of the city:

This was a short overview of some of the experiences I have had, places I have visited, and a chance for you to get a glimpse into other parts of the world, I know I may not have much yet but I am very pumped to continue living life to have fun and explore and achieve new, greater things than this beautiful life has to offer.
